The proposal consists of the interior refurbishment of a loft in the residential area of Toumpa in the city of Thessaloniki. Τhe reference point for the design was the south orientation of the apartment, which offers to its owners a unique panoramic view of Mount Olympus and Thermaikos gulf, providing the interior with plenty of natural light throughout the whole year. Moreover, the need for a relaxing ambient which inspires the owners and emphasizes on the tranquility of the view led to the selection of natural colors for the walls and the wooden surfaces as the main design material.
Common areas such as the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and the WC are placed on the first level while private uses such as the master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, a secondary bedroom and the laundry are on the second one.
The color palette applied for the interior of the apartment is based on natural colors like the olive green and the terra cotta red for the living room and the kitchen, respectively. The natural colorizations are combined with the warm colors of the walnut wood kitchen cabinets and the austere dark colorization of the wood surfaces of the living room.
